The collection documents Banzhaf's administrative roles as dean of the Marquette University School of Dentistry, as a trustee for lands held by the Northern Michigan Land Company (and subsequently, the Marquette Land Company), and as business manager for the university, as well as his involvement in professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association and the Dental Educational Council of America. Includes a significant amount of correspondence, particularly with other leaders of the Dental Educational Council between 1925 and 1935, as well as correspondence with Herbert Noonan, a former president of the university. Also contains a limited number of Banzhaf's publications and speeches on dentistry topics, newspaper clippings documenting his career, and records related to the university's expanded publicity campaigns of the 1920s.
